The world’s first business school 3D printing lab

Since Spring 2013, Illinois students and faculty have come here for the knowledge and resources to design, make and market physical things. Now every printer in the lab is a current-generation Bambu Lab machine.

Seven printers. Four models. One standard.

Every machine in the lab is now a current-generation Bambu Lab printer — from the 340 mm H2S to the hotend-swapping H2C. Here are their build volumes, drawn to scale from a common datum.

Donated by Xu & Ning.

The Illinois MakerLab gratefully acknowledges Haoyang Xu and Yuxin Ning for their generous gift of five Bambu Lab printers.

Both H2Cs, both X2Ds and the X1C were donated by Haoyang Xu, an alumnus of Gies College of Business, and Yuxin Ning, an alumnus of The Grainger College of Engineering.
