Fleet bulletin
Every printer in the lab is now a current-generation Bambu Lab machine: seven in all, from the 340 mm H2S to the hotend-swapping H2C. Five were donated by Xu & Ning.
Printers
7
Every one a current-generation Bambu Lab machine.
Opened
2013
Spring 2013 — the first 3D printing lab in a business school.
Largest build
340mm
H2S build volume: 340 × 320 × 340 mm.
Hotend heat-up
8s
About eight seconds for an H2C Vortek hotend.
Printers in Room 3030
Seven printers. All current-generation Bambu Lab.
Big-format engineering parts on the H2S. Multi-material prints with far less purge waste on the H2C. Dual-nozzle jobs on the X2D. And the X1C, the CoreXY benchmark. Every job in Room 3030 now runs on a current Bambu Lab machine.
| No. | Model | Qty | Build volume W × D × H | Max nozzle | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 01 | H2SBambu Lab · single nozzle | ×2 | 340 × 320 × 340mm · largest in lab | 350 °C65 °C chamber | The largest build volume in the lab, an actively heated chamber and a toolhead that moves at up to 1000 mm/s. For big parts and engineering materials. |
| 02 | H2CBambu Lab · VortekDonated by Xu & Ning | ×2 | ≈ 325 × 320 × 320mm | 350 °C6-hotend rack | Vortek hotend swapping: magnetic, induction-heated hotends heat up in about 8 seconds, and a rack holds six. Multi-material printing with far less purge waste. Launched Nov 2025. |
| 03 | X2DBambu Lab · dual nozzleDonated by Xu & Ning | ×2 | 256 × 256 × 260mm | 300 °C120 °C bed | The second-generation X-Series, launched April 2026. Two nozzles on one toolhead, a 65 °C heated chamber and 31 sensors. |

Great place to make a 3D print. The online ordering option is very convenient!
I had a great experience printing my STL files here. Will definitely print more!
Staff made the entire printing process super simple and straightforward. Planning to use again for class projects.
